Avoid Processed Baby Food Products

This week a disturbing headline hit the news: Two-thirds of commercial baby food in the US – including brands like Gerber, Sprout and Plum Organics – tested positive for dangerous chemicals. Researchers from the Clean Label Project, a non-profit group that advocates for product labelling transparency, tested more than 500 baby foods sold in US stores and found that 65% contain arsenic, while 58% tested positive for cadmium and over a third (36%) for lead.  All these chemicals pose potential dangers for developing babies, who are at their most vulnerable. This is just one more reason to stay away from highly processed, mass-produced baby food and choose homemade, fresh, organic options instead. We know just the right brand for you...
