Flavor of the Month of April: Lamb, Potato & Spinach with Rosemary
Honoring the traditional Easter feast, we’ve created a special purée for our Little Foodies this month: Lamb with Potatoes, Spinach & Rosemary. This meaty meal combines slow-cooked pasture-raised lamb with potatoes and spinach and a hint of rosemary. Young babies and toddlers need plenty of iron in their diets to ensure healthy mental and physical development. In fact, babies aged seven to12 months need more iron than a grown man. Lamb is one of the most iron-rich foods out there making it an ideal ingredient for a healthy and nutritious baby meal. Potatoes and spinach meanwhile are packed with vitamin B6 as well as essential minerals like potassium, manganese, phosphorus, niacin and zinc, all great for growing babies. And did you know that rosemary contains rosmarinic acid, which has both anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties?
